Lauren Keester grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma, where she attended Edmond Public Schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. She graduated with honors from Oklahoma State University and completed her graduate degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. Additionally, she pursued further coursework and completed two practicums, reflecting her love for education.
Lauren's career began at a small private counseling firm, where she worked with individuals with disabilities, providing career counseling, vocational assessment, professional development, and expert testimony. Her passion for maximizing individual potential and helping people realize their dreams is what she loves most about her job.
In July 2021, Lauren joined Francis Tuttle Technology Center. She is enthusiastic about the students, colleagues, and the positive atmosphere at Francis Tuttle. Lauren focuses on the holistic development of students—academically, emotionally, and socially—offering support wherever she can.
Lauren is married to Jared Keester, an Engineering Academy instructor at the Francis Tuttle Danforth Campus. They have two wonderful boys, a flock of chickens, and a large dog. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys gardening, knitting, reading, and playing games with her children. She considers herself a lifelong learner and firmly believes in the power of a growth mindset to achieve great things.
