Meet Danielle Crosby, Safety and Manufacturing Instructor for Central Technology Center in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Danielle was born in Lake Tahoe, California. She was two years old when her family relocated to Miami, Oklahoma, where she spent her childhood.
In 2017, Danielle landed a career as an Officer for Northeast Oklahoma Department of Corrections in Vinita. Working at different areas at the facility from Correctional Officer to Warehouse Purchaser where se ordered facility supplies.
In 2022, the Oklahoma Department of Career & Technology Education opened a Transportation, Distribution, & Logistics Trade Instructor position for Skills Centers to be located at NEOCC in Vinita, OK. Danielle jumped on this opportunity since she believed her skills she had acquired while being a Warehouse Purchaser would meet the needs required for the position. CareerTech Skills Center offered Danielle the T.D.L. Instructor position, and she was very grateful to accept this new role. Beginning her journey at CareerTech in 2022, she has gained a wealth of knowledge over the span of two years. She achieved
certification to be an OSHA General Industry Authorized Trainer and also became an instructor for Distribution and Logistics under MSSC.
After spending two years at the Vinita Skills Center, she moved to a new position in Buisness and Industires located at Central Technology Center in Sapulpa, OK. She is currently focused on becoming certified as a Production Technician Instructor. In June, she traveled to Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro, Georgia to receive certifications in pneumatics and hydraulics training from Amatrol. In her new role at Central Tech, she has already established a short-term program tailored for women in recovery and business industries within their service area district. As well as, she successfully persuaded her team to acquire a VR headset for safety training, which simulates real-life scenarios thanks to VR technology and assistance from Amatrol's Ross.
Danielle finds it truly remarkable to witness the inner workings of the businesses that support the local area of Sapulpa and Tulsa. Danielle stated, "I cannot adequately express how proud I am. Joining Central Tech in Sapulpa has been an incredible journey, working with an amazing team. What I find most fulfilling about my work is the continuous growth of my mind every day. It never feels like just a job to me, and assisting individuals in shaping their future is extremely gratifying. I am excited to witness our growth in the years ahead!"
